01 · The classic

Nine or twelve twists. One famous pan.

These are the cinnamon rolls that built The Bread Barn's reputation: tender dough shaped into cinnamon-rich twists so every piece carries ribbons of filling and caramelized edges. Reserve a pan of nine or twelve through preorder when they appear on the current menu, and add the optional powdered-sugar glaze for a familiar sweet finish.

02 · Market Weekend

A single serve worth making the trip for.

Our oversized single-serve cinnamon rolls are finished with cream-cheese icing and rotating premium toppings. Because they must remain temperature controlled in an iced cooler, they are offered as a walk-up feature at most Market Weekends rather than through preorder. Flavors rotate and quantities are limited; most are $7–$9 each.

03

03 · Revival

Warm, never punished.

Reheat gently. Short intervals and modest heat protect the tender interior. If refrigerated, let the roll lose some of its chill first. The goal is warmth—not a second bake.

Brown-Butter Powdered-Sugar Glaze

A warm, nutty twist on the classic powdered-sugar glaze—made for dressing cinnamon rolls at home without overwhelming the cinnamon.

YieldEnough for 9 rollsHands-on10 minutesBake5 minutesTotal15 minutes

What you’ll need

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1½ cups (180 g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ⅛ tsp fine sea salt
  • 2–3 tbsp whole milk or heavy cream

The method

  1. Brown the butter.

Melt the butter in a light-colored saucepan over medium-low heat. Swirl until the milk solids turn amber and smell nutty, then immediately pour into a mixing bowl. Cool for 5 minutes.

  2. Build the glaze.

Whisk in the powdered sugar, vanilla, salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk or cream. Add the remaining liquid a teaspoon at a time until the glaze falls from the whisk in a slow ribbon.

  3. Finish the rolls.

Spoon or drizzle over warm—not piping-hot—cinnamon rolls. Serve promptly, or let the glaze set for 10 minutes.
